About the Role:-

We are seeking a creative, passionate, and experienced Art Teacher to join our Middle Section. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing students’ artistic skills, creativity, imagination, and appreciation of visual arts through engaging and age-appropriate lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Plan and deliver engaging Art & Visual Arts lessons for students in Grades VI–VIII.

• Develop students’ skills in drawing, sketching, painting, craft, design, and other art forms.

• Prepare lesson plans, teaching resources, activities, and practical projects.

• Introduce students to different artistic techniques, styles, artists, and art traditions.

• Encourage creativity, self-expression, experimentation, and independent thinking.

• Assess students’ artistic development and maintain appropriate academic records.

• Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their artistic skills.

• Organise and support art exhibitions, competitions, displays, cultural programmes, and school events.

• Display students’ artwork around the school to create an inspiring learning environment.

• Maintain and manage art materials, equipment, and classroom resources responsibly.

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-organised art classroom.

• Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods where appropriate.

• Collaborate with other teachers and participate in school activities and professional development programmes.

• Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school management.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications:-

• Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts / Visual Arts / Applied Arts or a relevant discipline.

• B.Ed. in Fine Arts / Art Education is preferred.

• Qualification should meet applicable CBSE and Oman Ministry of Education requirements.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in a CBSE or Indian school.

• Experience teaching students at the Middle School level is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of drawing, painting, sketching, craft, and other visual art techniques.

• Good communication and classroom management skills.

• Ability to plan creative, student-centred and activity-based lessons.

• Valid experience certificates and relevant educational documents are required.

Desirable Skills:-

• Knowledge of Indian and international art traditions.

• Ability to conduct art workshops and extracurricular activities.

• Experience preparing students for art competitions and exhibitions.

• Basic knowledge of digital art and design tools will be an advantage.

• Creative, patient, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to teaching.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a multicultural school community.
