Accounts Payable Manager

(Manager Payable)


•Lead / direct the AP team to ensure all payments due from Oman Air to vendors and third parties are paid on time and in accordance with the companies, policies, procedures, and relevant approvals
Check and approve invoices and JVs raised by accountants in ERP
•Ensure compliance with Manual of Authority, ensuring all details and attachments are entered before approving
•Maintain positive relationships with vendors by addressing invoice inquiries in a timely manner while ensuring all payments are made in accordance with the agreed contract terms after seeking the necessary approval
•Assess vendor agreements to identify and implement potential cost-saving opportunities
•Conduct balance confirmations with vendors to aid in account reconciliation
•Assess the ageing of creditors, goods receipts and invoice receipts (GRIR), and advances to reconcile and clear dated balances
•Monitor advance payments, ensuring unapplied advances are highlighted and addressed
•Oversee the accuracy and consistency of bank reconciliation statements, ensuring accurate settlements across the various accounts and reports
Investigate any discrepancies in financial data or documentation
•Address and rectify any invoice inconsistencies or disputes by regularly reviewing the accounts payable ledger to identify complex or significant discrepancies.
•Seek to optimise the automation of the AP processes to improve accuracy, drive efficiencies, and reduce manual tasks associated with managing receivables


8+ years of financial or accounting experience.
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (mandatory). Post-graduate degree/accreditation such as CFA, CMA or CPA is a plus.
Strong ethical conduct with dedication to maintaining ethical standards across all corporate matters and adhering to the aviation industry laws and Code of Conduct.
Demonstrated outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
Strong organizational and time-management skills
