We are now looking for another team member to join us in Safety department as HSE Engineer, based in Salalah, Dhofar.

HSE Engineer will partner with several teams (production, maintenance, logistics, etc..) in the plant to execute company HSE policies and ensure compliance to all applicable local and regional regulations. They need to establish the HSE foundations and management systems to identifying, prioritizing, and managing health and safety risks, use data and risk assessment to make sound decisions for improving safety, engaging our people and suppliers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Possess a thorough understanding of local/regional regulations and company policy.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable HSE Policies.
  • Measure plant performance against published requirements in HSE policies. For all deficiencies, identify a plan for the site to implement and fix all identified deficiencies.
  • Undertake risk assessments as required and follow up control measures to completion including environmental impacts.
  • Analyze HSE metrics and review incident daily, weekly, and monthly incident trends to discover trends to rationalize the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the safety risk is highest.
  • Perform frequent HSE audits to identify all non-compliance equipment and/or processes at the site.
  • Audit the workplace organization and employee behaviors to ensure that training, auditing, and scoring methods are accurate and consistent.
  • Create interactive safety briefings and campaigns to raise the bar on the employee’s engagement and safety.
  • Environmental waste management and provide training and process for spill response.

What We’d Love For You To Have

  • Local Omani national is a must.
  • 1-3 years of growing responsibilities in health, safety, and environmental programs in manufacturing, or construction fields.
  • Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science.
  • English and Arabic speaking.
