Your Role
As a High School Social Studies/Ecomomics Teacher at TAISM, you will:
Inspire and Engage: Teach Social Studies (including World History) and Economics, utilizing diverse, modern teaching methods
Foster Inclusivity: Create an inclusive classroom environment that values each student's unique strengths and needs, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and collaboration.
Support Student Growth: Prioritize effective communication and provide meaningful feedback to deepen students' understanding and support their academic and personal development.
Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with colleagues to enhance the educational experience, contribute to school-wide initiatives, and engage fully with the TAISM community.
“Must Have”
Valid, US-recognized teaching certificate
Bachelor's degree in History/Social Science/Economics
Minimum of three years experience teaching high school Social Studies/History/Economics courses
Desire to work with a wide range of high school students, with diverse interests, abilities, and nationalities
Proven track record of success in preparing students to be college-ready
Demonstrated experience contributing to the school community, both within and outside the subject area, including co-curricular activities (clubs, coaching, etc.)
"Nice to Have"
Master’s degree (MAT with a concentration in History, Social Sciences, or Economics)
Experience teaching Advanced Placement (AP) or equivalent
Experience with HS co-curricular activities- preferably leadership of Model United Nations (MUN)
