The role of Assistant Manager, Finance exists to ensure the efficient and compliant operation of the taxation department within the organization. This position plays a crucial role in overseeing tax-related activities, maintaining compliance with tax laws and regulations, and identifying opportunities for tax benefits while mitigating risks. By providing strategic leadership and expertise in taxation, the Assistant Manager, Finance contributes to the financial stability and growth of the organization.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Oversee the overall functioning of the taxation department, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations at all times.
  • Conduct thorough research on tax laws and regulations to stay updated with any changes or developments.
  • Develop strategies and analyze regulations to identify tax benefit opportunities while ensuring compliance.
  • Prepare financial statements, tax calculations, tax provision schedules, and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Handle VAT returns and withholding tax returns, ensuring their accuracy and submission within the prescribed deadlines.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax inspectors to complete income tax audits, tax returns, tax assessments, and disputes.
  • Resolve any tax assessments, tax audits, or disputes in a timely and effective manner.
  • Identify and deploy new measures to simplify, control, and automate VAT recording in the organizations ERP system.
  • Review and update tax strategies as needed to optimize tax planning and compliance.
