A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Prepare and cook delicious, traditional Italian pizzas with fresh ingredients.
• Ensure consistency in the quality and presentation of all pizzas.
• Supervise and assist in the preparation of pizza dough, sauces, and toppings.
• Monitor stock levels and collaborate with the Head Chef to order ingredients.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff members, including Commis Chefs and Kitchen Porters.
• Stay updated with new trends and techniques in pizza-making, exploring creative recipe development.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and update menus, ensuring an excellent dining experience for guests.
• Adhere to the hotel's standard operating procedures and follow all health and safety regulations.

What do we need from you?

• Proven experience as a Pizzaiolo, with a focus on traditional Italian pizza-making techniques.
• Proficient in hand-stretching dough and working with a wood-fired pizza oven.
• Strong knowledge of various pizza toppings, sauces, and flavor combinations.
• Excellent knife skills and the ability to efficiently multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of food cost control and portion management.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality dishes consistently.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• A culinary degree or relevant qualifications will be an advantage.
